Ben's Canteen launches £250k crowdfunding drive

The all-day restaurant, which serves brunch, burgers and fried chicken in Earlsfied and Battersea, is aiming to raise £250,000 to expand to 10 sites in the next five years.
The money will also be used to support the launch of a third restaurant, set to open in a converted railway arch in the grounds of the Battersea Power Station development later this year.
“We focus on burgers, wine and brunch, three of the largest trends in London and beyond,” says Ben’s Canteen owner Ben Walton.
“We are well positioned to grow as these markets continue their upward trajectory, and I’m confident that the three sites will become 10 as we continue to grow.”
At the time of writing the group has already raised over £190,000 since launching the Crowdcube campaign earlier today (9 March).
Walton hopes to use the funding to expand outside of south west London to other areas of the capital, ‘and perhaps beyond’.
Ben’s Canteen launched in Battersea in 2011 and expanded to a second site in Earlsfield in 2014.
