Eco-friendly Asian food hall launching in London

An eco-friendly Asian food hall housing over 30 traders is to launch in north London later this summer.

Bang Bang Oriental is designed to emulate an Asian street market and will feature 33 individual kiosks serving a mix of Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Indian, Vietnamese, Taiwanese and Malaysian cuisine.

The 450-cover food court will also be home to a flagship Golden Dragon restaurant - a 300-cover site serving dim sum lunches and a traditional Chinese menu in the evening.

In an effort to reduce the environmental impact of the 32,000 sq ft space, an £85,000 bio-fuel cylinder will collect food waste for energy regeneration, reducing the carbon emissions of the site.

Bang Bang Oriental will open as part of the mixed-use development at 399 Edgware Road. It will also feature indoor and outdoor spaces for community events, cookery classes, and cultural activities such as Lion dancing.

The food court will open all day from 11am – 10pm.
