Jordan joined the business in 2004 and has overseen the hotel's Ocean Restaurant winning four AA Rosettes and a Michelin star in 2007, which it has retained for a decade.
Now the chef has decided to leave his role at the end of the season, but will continue to work alongside managing director Patrick Burke until a successor is found.
Jordan will continue to focus on his Jersey bistro Mark Jordan at the Beach, which holds a Michelin Bib Gourmand, while looking for other opportunities.
“It has been an incredible 13 years here at The Atlantic Hotel and Jersey has become my home,” says Jordan.
“Jersey is renowned for its outstanding food and I am excited about developing other culinary experiences in more locations across Jersey and beyond.”
Burke is also a partner in Mark Jordan at the Beach and will continue to develop the concept with the chef while remaining at the hotel.
“Investment in developing talent has always been our focus and we feel that The Atlantic Hotel and Ocean Restaurant will make the perfect platform for the next rising star,” says Burke.
