Adam Simmonds to launch Test Kitchen Soho restaurant
Chef Adam Simmonds is to launch a 12-month pop-up in Soho prior to opening his first solo London restaurant next year.

The Test Kitchen will run from 27 April and act as a test-bed for the chef to trial new flavours, cooking techniques and work on service and presentation.

Diners will sit at a chef’s counter and be invited to give their feedback on dishes to help Simmonds create a ‘test proof’ menu for his new restaurant project.

The chef has been seeking funding over the last few years to launch his first solo project in London in early 2018.

Dishes will draw on his time spent in kitchens such as Le Gavroche and Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons, as well has his travels around Scandinavia and Europe.

Ingredient lists and dish development ideas will line the walls at Test Kitchen, while the chef himself will be on-hand to answer questions about the food.

Simmonds reached the finals of Great British Menu in 2014 and won a Michelin star while head chef at Wales’ Ynyshir Hall and at Adam Simmonds at Danesfield House.

Since leaving Danesfiled House in 2013 he took on the role as executive chef at Pavilion in London and has consulted at sites in London and Oxfordshire.
