Maitre Choux is bringing its eclairs to Soho

The cafe will offer the same range of decadent eclairs as its sister South Kensington site when it opens on Dean Street in October.
Prat, who was also head pastry chef at Joel Robuchon’s L’Atelier and The Greenhouse in Mayfair, claims the project is the world’s first choux specialist patisserie.
Maitre Choux first opened in 2015 and has since amassed a cult following among South Kensington locals.
The Soho site will feature a larger seating area to allow diners to enjoy tea, coffee and hot chocolate made from Prat’s grandmother’s recipe alongside different varieties of eclair such as lemon meringue and bergamot; Spanish raspberry and hazelnut; and milk chocolate treasure.
There will also be chouquettes, empty balls of choux pastry topped with pearl sugar, baked on-site every hour.
Maitre Choux’s Kensington site offers deliveries of its eclairs on Deliveroo, and the Soho site will also take orders for bespoke designs.
Update: Maitre Choux Soho will open at 60 Dean Street on 1 November
