Tim Allen is to step down as executive chef at the Michelin-starred Wild Rabbit pub later this year.

Allen, who joined the pub in 2015 from a role as head chef at D&D London’s Launceston Place, announced his departure on Twitter yesterday (18 July).

The Wild Rabbit was opened by Lady Carole Bamford in 2013 and was named Michelin Pub of the Year in 2015.

It was awarded its first star in the 2017 Michelin Guide with Allen heading up the kitchen.

Allen wrote on Twitter: “I’m leaving The Wild Rabbit after two fantastic years. I’m immensely proud of the team’s achievements to date and I wish them every success for the future.

“It’s been an amazing time working for Carole Bamford and I have great appreciation for her support and vision with the [Rabbit].”

Allen will step down at the end of August, but the pub is yet to announce his successor.
