Wendy's returns to the UK

The brand is operating from Sway Bar on London's Queen Street today from 10am until 2pm, according to BigHospitality’s sister site MCA.
The pop-up is offering a limited menu including a meal deal of its Dave’s Single Burger, a frosty and a drink for £4.
The group, which has over 6,000 sites worldwide, has made attempts to break in to the UK market before but surrendered 10 leases back in 2000 blaming high property and operating costs.
It is now thought to be eyeing opportunities in the country once again.
The move follows a rising number of US burger chains including Five Guys, Shake Shack, The Counter and Smashburger crossing the pond in the past few years.
