Layo and Zoe Paskin, the siblings behind popular London restaurants The Palomar and The Barbary as well as legendary nightclubs The End and AKA, are opening an English coffee house in the capital next month.

Located in Neal’s Yard in London’s Seven Dials, Jacob the Angel will open mid August and will operate for breakfast, lunch and tea on a daily basis.

The team will serve a “simple yet delicious menu” with a focus on a daily changing selection of freshly baked cakes, pastries and pies and well as sandwiches and salads.

The bijou coffee house will have just 10 covers inside and a further three outside, but will have a strong takeaway offer.

The Paskins are already familiar with the Seven Dials area of London, which is the location for The Barbary (16 Neal’s Yard), the restaurant that takes inspiration from the Barbary Coast that opened last year. Jacob the Angel will be located next door to the restaurant, at 16½ Neal’s Yard.

The duo also run The Palomar, their hugely successful 40-cover restaurant that serves the food of modern day Jerusalem. It appeared at number 14 in the list of the UK’s top 100 restaurants in this year’s Estrella Damm National Restaurant Awards, which were announced in June.
