Chef Leandro Carreira to open London Bridge restaurant
Portuguese chef Leandro Carreira, formerly of Viajante and Lyles, is planning to launch his first solo restaurant near London Bridge, in Snowfields Yard.

According to BigHospitality's sister title MCA, the new restaurant, which is thought to be called Londrino, will be a collaboration between hotel and restaurant operator, Loh Peng, owner of the Unlisted Collection, and Carreira.

It is thought that the pair have secured a new unit at 36 Snowsfields for the restaurant

Born and raised in Leiria in Portugal, Carreira first started working in restaurants in Lisbon before travelling around Europe and the Middle East.

He landed a job at Mugaritz in northern Spain — rated the ninth best restaurant in world by the World’s 50 Best — where he worked for three years before coming to London and cooking alongside Portuguese chef Nuno Mendes at Viajante.

He has since also worked with James Lowe of Lyles and Junya Yamasaki of Koya.

Peng's Unlisted Collection is an umbrella brand of boutique hotel properties and restaurants in Singapore, London, Shanghai and Sydney. The company operates the Town Hall Hotel in Bishopsgate.
