The chef has acquired the former L’Autre Pied site, which closed last month, and plans to launch the new venture in December.
It comes after Rogan left his Michelin-starred Fera at Claridge’s restaurant in April in a ‘mutual agreement’ with the hotel, with plans to resurrect Roganic.
A statement announcing the launch says the restaurant will offer a ‘forward-thinking and imaginative menu’ using produce from the chef’s farm in The Lake District.
It is set to be a ‘renaissance’ of the original pop-up using elements from L’Enclume, Rogan’s two-Michelin-starred restaurant in Cumbria.
The team will feature members of the original Roganic line up, including Oliver Marlow as head chef, while James Foster, who also worked at L’Enclume, will be managing the restaurant as GM.
“I’m made up to be back in Marylebone, we really enjoyed being there first time around and it feels so right to be back,” says Rogan.
“It’s a great site that I have always admired and it’s the perfect location for us. In Oli I have one of the most talented guys who came up through my kitchens and likewise James is an excellent appointment. I’m very excited for what the future holds with them and Harry Guy heading up London operations. We had so much fun last time Roganic was in London and I’m sure second time around will be no different”
Roganic will run alongside Aulis London, the chef’s development kitchen and eight seat chef’s table which opened in an unnamed central London location in October.
Restaurant Property sold the site on behalf of L'Autre Pied owner David Moore on a 20-year lease running until 2027, with a rent of £105,000 per annum.
