The Real Greek is to boost its presence in the South West after securing a site in Bristol’s Cabot Circus development.

The Fulham Shore-owned group already operates restaurants in Reading, Southampton and Bournemouth alongside a dozen sites in and around London.

The 2,300sq ft restaurant is due to open this winter and will join the likes of Brasserie Blanc, Cote and L’Osteria.

Since September 2016, Fulham Shore has opened The Real Greek restaurants in London’s Muswell Hill,  Boxpark Croydon and Southampton. It now operates 15 sites, with plans to open more throughout 2017 and 2018.

The Real Greek serves Eastern Mediterranean cuisine, with dishes comprising selections of hot and cold mezze; Greek salads; souvlaki wraps; Greek pies; and a selection of sides such as saffron rice.

Cabot Circus operator Hammerson says the letting is part of a strategy enhance Bristol city centre’s dining and leisure offer in response to consumer demand and eventually plans to expand the development, which opened in 2008.

“We are delighted to welcome The Real Greek’s first restaurant in Bristol to Cabot Circus , where it will complement and enhance the growing and diverse catering mix at the centre with its distinct cuisine,” says head of restaurants and leisure Sarah Fox. “The decision to expand in the region demonstrates strong occupier confidence in both the scheme and Bristol.”
