Ollie Dabbous to head up new Mayfair opening

Dabbous and business partner Oskar Kinberg are understood to be teaming up with Hedonism Wines to open a c250-cover restaurant at 85 Piccadilly.
Hedonism Wines, which currently operates a site in nearby Davies Street, is thought to have secured 85 Piccadilly last year, and has been talking to a number of high-profile chefs regarding ideas for the space, which is spread across the basement, ground floor and mezzanine.
Dabbous and Kinberg closed their Michelin-starred Fitzrovia-based restaurant Dabbous earlier this year to begin work on a “major new project” for late 2017/early 2018.
They also closed their London restaurant Barnyard in January to focus on the plans.
The new opening ‒ which Dabbous described as “a phenomenal site” ‒ is expected to have a completely different identity to the existing restaurant, but will involve the entire current team as well as new members of staff.
MCA understands that the people behind the project aspire to and expect to achieve two Michelin stars on the mezzanine floor of the new restaurant and one star on the floors below.
