We round up some of the top stories in hospitality you might have missed this week.

- Mark Hix has closed HIX Mayfair. The chef shut the doors on his restaurant​ at Browns Hotel after their partnership came to an end.

- Dishoom looks to be planning an opening in Manchester.​ The Bombay Café concept has applied for a license at the Manchester Hall development- although it has yet to be approved.

- Ollie Dabbous is set to head up a new fine dining restaurant​ in Mayfair, teaming up with Hedonism Wines. The restaurant is expected to comprise 250 covers, and Dabbous has described the site as “phenomenal”.

- Rosa’s Thai Café is turning its Soho site into a pop up vegetarian restaurant​. The site, on Dean Street, will be offering a fully vegetarian menu for three months.

- Gordon Ramsay put his two pence in​ on the topic of food photography in restaurants, branding chefs who object to the procedure – like Michel Roux – “bloody pompous”.
