The Ivy Collection spreads to Leeds
The Ivy Collection is to continue its spread across the UK after securing its debut site in Leeds.

The Richard Caring-backed group is to join D&D London and Cau at the £165m Victoria Quarter development.

Developer Hammerson, which is behind the scheme, said the company was an ‘iconic British brand’ that had been ‘selectively growing’ its portfolio across the UK.

Caring launched the first Ivy Market Grill in Covent Garden in 2014 as a more casual spin-off of the iconic London theatre land restaurant, which reaches its 100th birthday this year.

The group currently operates 16 sites in the capital and beyond under its Ivy Cafe, Grill and Brasserie brands.

A further six restaurants are in the pipeline in areas including Harrogate, Guildford, Cambridge and Dublin.

Speaking to BigHospitality’ssister title MCA this year, The Ivy Collection’s operations director Yishay Malkov said Caring was keen to ‘test the limits’ of the brand and that the infrastructure was in place to double its restaurant estate over the next 18-24 months.

He added that the brand could expand to 40 sites across the UK and Ireland if the opportunities arose.

“We have to keep polishing the halo, keeping the brand as shiny and new as it is now,” said Malkov.
