Turkish grill restaurant Gökyüzü is set to open its third restaurant this month, with plans for a fourth in the pipeline.

Gökyüzü is opening its new restaurant in Walthamstow’s The Mall, on the site of a former BHS store.

Over the past few weeks, window transfers in the brand’s signature blue hue have been put up and its logo has appeared on the front doors of the site

An opening date has not yet been confirmed for the restaurant, although it is understood to be opening December 15.

The brand’s website also flags another opening in Finchley, but no further details have been released.

The restaurant serves a range of charcoal-grilled kebabs; seafood dishes; Turkish pide; and vegetarian options such as chargrilled aubergines with red peppers, mushrooms, onion, tomato sauce and yogurt.

The restaurant also offers a breakfast menu, which offers the likes of the popular ‘Turkish breakfast’ (fried eggs, feta cheese, muska boregi (cheese and spinach filo pastry triangles), hellim cheese, Turkish beef sausage, cherry tomatoes, olives, salad, honey and jam).

Gökyüzü, which means ‘sky’ in Turkish, opened on the Turkish restaurant hotspot of Green Lanes in Haringey in 1999. The second restaurant opened in Chingford, Essex, in September 2015.

Gökyüzü was awarded best kebab restaurant in north and west London at the 2017 British Kebab Awards.
