Opening on 23 February, the 175-cover site on George Street will serve cuts of chicken, lamb, pork and beef, carved tableside in the all-you-can-eat Brazilian style known as rodizio.
A bar of sides will include salad; sushi; smoked salmon; fresh vegetables; cured meats; and traditional Brazilian dishes.
Paired wines are available for each cut of meat.
The restaurant features a start/stop signalling system on each table, allowing diners to eat at their own pace.
The opening follows a £2m refurbishment of the site, which features a 40-cover bar and a private dining room for eight. Interiors feature leather upholstery, and traditional Brazilian chandeliers. Bottles of wine are displayed throughout the restaurant.
Owned by operators City District Group, Fazenda Bar & Grill Group currently operates restaurants in Leeds, Manchester, Liverpool and also has a sister brand in Chester called Picanha.
The group, which was formed in 2010, plans to open three restaurants across the UK over the next year, with plans for more in 2019.
It looks set to be a busy year for Edinburgh’s restaurant industry. Planned openings include a fourth site from Tom Kitchin, and Scottish debuts from Hawksmoor and Franco Manca.
