Cecconi's-branded pizza bar set to open in Soho

Soho House group is launching a Cecconi’s-branded pizza bar on Old Compton Street this spring, marking the first foray into ‘casual’ dining for the Venetian-inspired group of restaurants.

Serving cicchetti (small Italian plates), pizza and cocktails, Cecconi’s Pizza Bar will open on the site of the former Soho Kitchen & Bar- also owned by the Soho House Group - which closed earlier this month.

The restaurant will feature a pizza oven, and despite its ‘lite’ format, will stay on-brand with a Cecconi’s signature marble striped floor.

Cecconi’s restaurants are Venice-inspired, serving hand-made pasta, seafood, and dishes from Northern Italy.

The Mayfair flagship site, in Burlington Gardens, was opened in 1978 by Enzo Cecconi, general manager of famous Venice restaurant Cipriani.

The group of restaurants operates sites in West Hollywood, Miami Beach, Brooklyn, Berlin, Barcelona and Istanbul and a second London location within The Ned.

Soho House took part management of the brand in 2004, and acquired full ownership a year later.
