Marcus Wareing opens George's Bar in St. Pancras Renaissance hotel
Marcus Wareing has relaunched the bar in his The Gilbert Scott restaurant, with a new name, design and menu.

Located within the St Pancras Renaissance hotel, George’s Bar offers a menu of bar snacks, canapés and afternoon tea.

Named George’s Bar in tribute to the building’s original architect, Sir George Gilbert Scott, the 120-cover bar has been redesigned by David Collins Studio, which has worked on high-profile design projects including Bob Bob Ricard, Brasserie Zédel del and Nobu.

The bar menus have been created in collaboration with bar manager Dav Eames.

The new bar menu includes small snacks such as curried peanuts; truffled cashews; olives; and padron peppers.

More substantial offerings include warm rosemary bread with olive oil; chorizo jam on sourdough bread; smoked potato and gruyere croquettes with mustard emulsion; and truffled macaroni and cheese.

The cocktail list will change regularly depending on seasonality. In April and May, the cocktails will be paired to the launch of The Gilbert Scott’s 100 year menu, which will recreate an original menu served at the historic restaurant in 1918.

George’s Bar is the fourth venue in the chef’s bar and restaurant portfolio, alongside Tredwells, Marcus and The Gilbert Scott.
