La Ferme duo open sister site in Primrose Hill
The duo behind seasonal French restaurant La Ferme have opened a second outpost of the brand in north London’s Primrose Hill.

The new 32-cover location, unlike its Farringdon sister, does not include a delicatessen.

Instead, it has a mezzanine lounge and 14-cover Champagne bar, sponsored by Champagne Deutz, and has a selection of French wines available for customers to purchase.

There are three weekday menus to choose from at the new restaurant, devised by head chef and co-founder Guillaume Dunos, a Michelin 2017 Young Chef of the Year finalist.

The “menu du chef” chef’s menu consists of four courses, changing monthly, including the likes of heritage vegetables with buttermilk foam, sumac and walnut crumble starter; roast pigeon with brioche lemon caviar, cream and black garlic; mullet with capers, sage and clementine on potato puree; and caramelised Canadian apple with calvados gel and almond biscuit.

A ‘menu de la ferme’ offers a selection of French-inspired small and sharing plates, including a charcuterie plate; mashed potato with truffle; Burgundy snails in garlic butter; a mushroom croq monsieur; and a mini confit duck burger.

A weekly ‘menu du marche’ written on the wall includes seasonal dishes made from ingredients sourced from the local butcher, fishmonger and grocer.

On weekends, a French-inspired brunch menu is available, consisting of a range of grilled croque sandwiches; egg dishes; and cakes.

“Our commitment has always been to select the finest ingredients from local producers as well as the best producers in France, and to bring them to life in a seasonal menu which regularly presents new and exciting food concepts,” says co-founder Francois Guerin.

“With the new site we will be able to whet North West Londoners’ appetite too and provide them with an authentic French dining experience but with a creative twist.”

Francois Guerin opened the flagship La Ferme in Farringdon in 2015, following three years of operating as a market stall across the capital.
