ETM secures £10m funding towards expansion
London restaurant and bar group ETM has secured £10m funding from HSBC towards its expansion.

The group, which has opened 13 sites since 2000 including The Botanist on London’s Sloane Square and City rooftop bar Aviary, will use the funds to grow at a faster rate.

At least three more sites are due to launch this year, including the Maple restaurant in the Westfield complex in White City this summer.

ETM says it plans to expand “significantly” in London over the next five years, with a “strong pipeline” of additional openings.

“We are very excited about the next phase of growth and, with HSBC’s support and financial backing, we will be able to develop and roll out new, innovative, experience-led concepts at a faster rate,” says Ed Martin, co-founder & CEO of ETM.

“Our focused approach to acquisition has already set in motion a platform for scalable expansion as evidenced by Aviary (Finsbury Square) and Greenwood’s (Victoria) first year of successful trading and the encouraging early performance from our new City bar, Broadleaf.”
