The team has raised £1,068,570 from 1501 investors, surpassing its initial Crowdcube target of £450,000, to launch a taproom, brewery and dining space in the riverside Finzel’s Reach development.
Sanchez-Iglesias, who is behind Bristol’s Michelin-starred Paco Tapas and Casamia, will run a development kitchen on the first floor.
The space will focus on “experimental and innovative cooking”, with the possibility some dishes may translate on to the menu at Casamia.
The chef will also create a separate food offering for brewpub customers.
Left Handed Giant is run by former BrewDog operations director Brue Gray, and has been brewing in Bristol since 2015.
All funds raised will go towards the new brewery, which has a projected budget of £2.2m including the purchase of the building.
