From tacos to Thai and the first UK outpost of an award-winning Indian restaurant, Soho and Mayfair has no shortage of interesting places to eat.

Restaurant magazine's latest Eats Out tour took a host of hungry restaurant professionals on a visit to four sites in the area.

Greyhound Café

This trendy Thailand-based restaurant started out as a fashion house, but is now one of Bangkok’s most loved restaurants. Familiar Thai flavours, like spicy som-tum and tamarind curry and jaew dressing, are applied to dishes such as German-style fried pork knuckle and Japanese edamame salad.

Breddos

An eclectic list of tacos and tostadas runs alongside a tequila and Mezcal menu at Breddos. The menu is influenced by the roadside taquerias and restaurants its owners encountered on their travels across Mexico and the US.

Indian Accent

This London outpost of the award winning New Delhi and New York restaurant opened in Mayfair late last year. Chef Manish Mehrotra has won numerous awards for his modern, elegant takes on Indian cuisine, including a bite-sized truffle-scented Kashmiri morel dish with walnut powder and parmesan papad.

Hovarda

Aegean-inspired Hovarda is the second site for an experienced team behind popular Turkish Soho spot Yosma. Refined versions of typical mezze include borek, reworked here with crab and a lemon sauce. Syrupy, deep fried dough is the Aegean answer to dessert - a Turkish take on a doughnut.
