The Startups 100 is billed as the longest-running ranking of businesses that are less than three years olds with good potential for growth.
The majority of companies featured in this year’s list specialise in tech; apps; products; and finance.
Previous editions have included the likes of BrewDog; Tossed; Propercorn; and Deliveroo, which have gone on to enjoy significant commercial success.
Founded by Rachel Hugh and Neil Potts, The Vurger Co. opened its first permanent site in Shoreditch in March following a series of pop-ups and festivals.
The long-awaited opening followed the brand’s successful July crowdfund, which saw it become the fastest restaurant ever to reach its target on the Crowdcube platform.
It hit its £180,000 crowdfund target within 30 hours, ending its crowdfunding drive on 6 July after raising £300,000, 66% above its target, in 77 hours.
