Pizza Express confirms motorway restaurant roll-out

It comes after the c.470-strong chain launched its first roadside site, serving its full menu, at Oxford Services in December 2017.
A second site will open at South Mimms services on 8 June, followed by a further three restaurants at Fleet, Cobham and Beaconsfield services later this year.
The South Mimms restaurant will seat 88 diners and open 11am-10pm 364 days a year.
Welcome Break says in recent years it has seen a growing trend in customers spending more time at its service stations and wanted to provide a dining experience "comparable to that on the high street".
“We are always keen to offer the best facilities on the motorway network to the 85 million visitors that visit Welcome Break each year," says Robbie Bell, Welcome Break CEO.
Other high street brands that currently partner with the group include salad bar brand Tossed, KFC, Burger King and Starbucks.
Leon and Pret A Manger both signed deals with motorway services operator Roadchef to open roadside locations last year.
