Chicago Rib Shack plots expansion after sale
Chicago Rib Shack is back on the expansion trail nine months after it was bought out of administration.

BigHospitality’s sister site MCA reports that the ribs and burger chain has opened its sixth site after taking on the former Prezzo unit in Wandsworth’s Southside Shopping Centre.

The brand, which was acquired by Camden Dining Group last year, launched its site on Friday.

It follows an opening at Croydon BoxPark earlier this year and is part of three new sites planned for 2018.

“Bringing Chicago Rib Shack to Southside is the second of three new proposed Chicago Rib Shacks due to open in 2018,” says Roger Payne, the founder of Camden Dining Group. “Wandsworth has an eclectic mix of South Londoners who are no stranger to good food and a great night out.”

Payne acquired the brand out of administration last summer, citing the theatre of the concept as being on-trend for current consumers.

Chicago Rib Shack previously ran restaurants in Camden, Twickenham and Southampton, but all are now closed.
