Ramsay's director Stuart Gillies looks to launch solo restaurant business
Former Gordon Ramsay Group managing director Stuart Gillies looks to be launching a solo restaurant following his departure from the company in February.

Companies House lists Gillies, was a friend and business partner of Ramsay for decades, as a restaurateur and director of licensed restaurant business Alfa-Zero.

The former chef is the only person listed as being involved with the company, which was incorporated on 2 January 2018, one month before Gillies’ directorship at Gordon Ramsay Group was terminated.

Gillies, often described as Ramsay’s right hand man, is listed as having registered ‘Wood & Wood’ in the 11 May Trademark Journal following an application on 25 April.

The application says the nature of the ‘Wood & Wood’ business relates to restaurants, cafés, bars and catering services; food and beverage preparation; and take-away food and drink services.

Although Gillies’ directorship ended in February, rumours of his departure as CEO after over a decade at the company had been circulating for several months.
