Texture group sells first 28°-50° restaurant
The Texture Restaurant Group has sold the first of its 28°-50° wine-focused London restaurant sites, and put the other two on the market.

The business was co-founded by chef Agnar Sverrisson and sommelier Xavier Rousset - who left the company in 2015 - and includes the Michelin-starred Texture restaurant in Marylebone, which is not for sale.

The 28°-50° Wine Workshop and Kitchen on Fetter Lane, which launched in 2010, is now closed and has been sold to Clifford’s Restaurant Ltd.

It is understood that the site will be renamed Clifford’s restaurant and serve British and European food in an “informal setting”.

The two larger 28°-50° sites in Marylebone Lane and Maddox Street, which opened in 2012 and 2013 respectively, are still on the market.

A spokesperson for the Texture Group told BigHospitality both restaurants continued to “perform well" and "only significant, exceptional offers will be considered”.

“The Michelin-starred Texture restaurant trades exceptionally well and is not for sale,” they added.
