Gino D'Acampo to debut new casual dining brand
TV chef Gino D’Acampo's business is continuing to avoid the woes hitting much of the high street, with plans to launch a new casual dining brand.

My Coffee & Deli Bar will open on the ground floor of D’Acampo’s My Pizza & Prosecco bar in a Next store in Manchester next month.

The menu will offer Italian flatbreads, pizzas, pastries and more inspired by D’Acampo’s hometown of Naples. An online ordering system will allow customers to pay in advance and collect on-demand.

D’Acampo says: “It’s a new offering for us but is a common concept in both Italy and London, so we think Manchester will love it!”

Though his fellow TV chef Jamie Oliver has closed 12 sites across his restaurant empire this year, D’Acampo's portfolio continues to grow.

He has opened five restaurants in London, Harrogate, Leeds and Liverpool in partnership with Individual Restaurants founder Steven Walker since 2015, and signed a deal to launch sites at Next stores in Hull and Manchester last year.

A further five openings under his My Restaurant brand are due to roll out by 2019, including an 8,000 sq ft restaurant, bar, deli and ice cream bar with “posh bowling” in Birmingham.

Walker revealed earlier this year that turnover was approaching £100m across all D’Acampo’s brands.
