The group issued a statement on Friday (7 September) in response to growing speculation about a potential deal.
“The Board confirms that it is in the very preliminary stages of considering a transaction involving a possible acquisition of Deltic,” Revolution said.
“Furthermore, no agreement (in principle or otherwise) has been reached with Deltic regarding such a transaction, so there can be no certainty as to the terms, timing or structure of any such transaction, nor as to whether any such transaction will occur at all.”
Deltic, whose brands include Pryzm and Bar&Beyond, abandoned a c.£100m bidding war with Stonegate Pub Company over a possible merger with Revolution last year.
Under the terms, the nightclub operator would have owned 35% of the enlarged company.
Revolution’s shareholders later voted against Stonegate’s bid for the group.
