KERB teams up with WeWork to launch a meat-free market

Launching at Devonshire Square on 26 September, the Meatless Market will run from Wednesday to Friday, and will consist of six new traders that have graduated from Kerb’s InKERBator programme.

Traders at the new market will include Biff’s Jack Shack’s junk food; Greedy Khao’s Thai; Vegals vegan bagels; Elote vegetarian quesadillas and tacos; Palm Greens’ plant-based salad bar;and Little Leaf vegan pizzas.

The new market will also work as a platform for developing future vegan and vegetarian vendors, through the ‘inKERBator’ programme.

The collaboration comes as WeWork pushes to increase sustainable practices within its company, having introduced several policies to save 445.1m pounds of CO2 emissions by 2023.

“We’re delighted to begin a relationship with WeWork - looking to push the KERB market model forward with a focus on meatless dishes and sustainability,”says Ian Dodds, director of markets at Kerb.

“There’s been an explosion of great vegetarian and vegan dishes on the streets of London over the last year and we’ll be showcasing the very best here.”

The Meatless Market will be the tenth market that Kerb has launched. The company, which launched in 2012, announced last week that it will be withdrawing from its Camden site by the end of the month.
