It will be the first time the main event has been hosted in Asia, following moves away from London to New York in 2016, Melbourne in 2017 and Bilbao this year.
The event will reveal the full top 50 list alongside several special awards celebrating “talent, diversity, opportunity and sustainability”.
The list is voted for by over 1,000 industry experts worldwide, and will feature a 50/50 balance of men and women for the first time in 2019.
50 Best has also partnered with the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) to host a series of events over a three-year period.
A standalone edition of 50BestTalks will be held in the city-state in 2020, alongside Asia’s 50 Best Bars in 2019 and 2020.
The World’s 50 Best Bars – which has only been held in London so far – will also take place in Singapore in 2021.
This year Massimo Bottura’s restaurant Osteria Francescana in Modena, Italy topped the World’s 50 Best Restaurants list.
The World’s 50 Best Bars 2018 list is revealed tonight (3 October) in London.
