The chef will leave his eponymous restaurant at the luxury Clivedon House hotel in Taplow, Berkshire, where he has cooked for the last five years.
Garrett will oversee food and beverage across The Corinthia, including The Northall restaurant which is set to take “a new culinary direction” with a broader Mediterranean-influenced fish and seafood selection.
“André’s appointment reinforces our commitment to create some of the finest food and drink experiences in the capital,” says Thomas Kochs, managing director at The Corinthia.
Garrett, who previously cooked at Galvin at Windows and Orrery in Marylebone, says he is “excited to return to London” for the project.
The Corinthia also recently saw the opening of Tom Kerridge’s eponymous Bar & Grill restaurant, which Garrett will have no involvement with.
Further details of The Northall’s new direction and menu will be released in the New Year.
