It is the first solo concept for Tandi since he joined the Mastercraft Hotel Group as culinary director in August.
The chef has previously cooked at Dinner by Heston Blumenthal, Nobu London and Kiru in Chelsea.
His new concept Soho Wala will offer dishes such as kurkure bhaji with crispy lotus root and orka; mirchi matchstick chicken with green chilli, lime and ginger; and assam tea brulee with vanilla ice cream and malai crème.
The 50-cover restaurant will share the building with the Courthouse Hotel, opposite the entrance to Carnaby Street, but operate as a separate entity with its own entrance.
Soho Wala opens in mid-November.
