Benito's Hat begins £1m expansion drive
Benito’s Hat has announced it will open two further London restaurants over the next few months after securing £1m funding.

The Mexican restaurant group will open in St Albans in December and at the O2 Arena in early 2019.

It comes after Benito’s secured a £1m investment from private equity firm Calculus Capital over the summer.

The company plans to use the funding to support a three year growth plan in the capital and throughout the UK.

The new St Albans restaurant will open in the former Jamie’s Italian Deli site, while larger O2 arena launch will act as a flagship site for the brand – with 80 covers and a large standalone cocktail bar.

Benito’s launched in London in 2008 and now has six London locations, and smaller shopping centre sites in Oxford and Leicester.

It says its expansion will focus on both larger full concept restaurants as well as smaller A1 units, which will allow the brand to move in to sites where it was not previously able to operate.
