The Texture Restaurant Group has sold the second of its 28º–50º Wine Workshop and Kitchen sites, on London’s Marylebone Lane.

From 1 December the wine-focused restaurant will operate under new management, but the name and concept will remain the same.

There will be no further involvement from chef-owner Aggi Sverrisson, who co-founded the group with sommelier Xavier Rousset in 2010. Rousset later left the business in 2015.

The other remaining 28º–50º restaurant on Maddox Street is also under offer with negotiations at an ‘advanced stage’.

It is unclear whether the restaurant is being purchased by the same buyer as its sister site or whether it will keep its name and concept after the sale. A representative for Texture Group was unable to share further details.

Sverrisson sold the first 28º–50º restaurant on Fetter Lane and put the other two sites on the market earlier this year.

The Icelandic chef also runs the Texture restaurant in Marylebone, which has held a Michelin star since 2010.
