Core by Clare Smyth has topped OpenTable’s annual list of the top 100 restaurants in the UK.

Brett Graham’s Notting Hill restaurant The Ledbury and Adam Byatt’s Trinity in Clapham placed at number two and three respectively.

The list is compiled from reviews left by verified OpenTable diners, so only restaurants that are listed on Opentable’s website have a chance of being featured.

London restaurants dominate the top 100 list with 81% of spots taken by establishments in the capital (all but one of the top ten are in London).

British cuisine was the most popular food type, representing 22% of the list.

“Here at OpenTable, we consider diner reviews as a fundamental element of the service we offer to UK diners, ensuring customers can discover the right dining experience wherever they are in the UK,” says Opentable vice president (Europe) Adrian Valeriano.

“As London continues to cement itself as the UK’s culinary capital, it’s also great to see outstanding restaurants from across the country including Birmingham, Manchester, Newcastle and Hampshire all appearing on the list.”
