Celebrity chef and restaurateur Gino D’Acampo has expanded his My Coffee & Deli Bar concept after eight weeks trading.

25 additional covers have been created by taking more space in fashion retailer Next’s Manchester site.

The recently developed concept is part of D’Acampo’s My Pizza & Prosecco Bar.

Central to its success - he believes - is the strength and breadth of its food offer, which includes Neapolitan Pizza, pasta, Italian sandwiches including piadina and spianata, and pastries and cakes.

“Italian fast-casual dining is a popular concept in Italy and has been well received in London. I had no doubt it would prove popular in Manchester,” says D’Acampo. “People’s lifestyles have changed; they’re looking for great, quality, hot food that can be enjoyed on the move or in an easy, relaxed environment. My Coffee & Deli Bar delivers exactly that, morning, noon and night.”

Online ordering service www.Gino2Go.com - which allows guests to pre-order their lunch and collect when ready - has also contribute to the site’s success.

Such has been the response; the business is now looking to roll the concept out across its portfolio of restaurants.

My Coffee & Deli Bar is Gino’s third restaurant offer in Manchester, sitting alongside his original restaurant at the Corn Exchange and his My Pizza & Prosecco Bar, located on the first floor of Next.

Though his fellow TV chef Jamie Oliver has closed 12 sites across his restaurant empire this year, D’Acampo’s portfolio continues to grow.

He has opened five restaurants in London, Harrogate, Leeds and Liverpool in partnership with Individual Restaurants founder Steven Walker since 2015, and signed a deal to launch sites at a number of Next stores.

He will soon open a 8,000 sq ft restaurant, bar, deli and ice cream bar with “posh bowling” in Birmingham.
