Clean-eating restaurant and bar group Redemption has opened a flagship London site following its successful crowdfunding campaign.

The vegan concept, which is also sugar, wheat and alcohol-free, has launched a 45-cover site in Seven Dials after raising £311,000 on Crowdcube last spring.

Redemption already has sites in Notting Hill and Shoreditch, and is planning a fourth in Southbank Place using the funding.

The Seven Dials location is the first to offer a takeaway selection and has an evening offer with an alcohol-free cocktail bar offering mocktails, beers, wines and spirits.

Redemption was founded by former brand director of Virgin, Catherine Salway, and New Zealand restaurateur and raw vegan chef Andrea Waters.

Its crowdfunding success saw the company give away just over 10% of its equity, meaning that the business has been valued at over £3m.

"We are pleased to offer Seven Dials’ visitors our brand promise of ‘spoil yourself without spoiling yourself’ through our alcohol-free drinks and plant-based menus, for the consistently increasing market of clean eating," says Salway.
