The two-strong company began delivering its chicken in the city last year, trading from a Deliveroo Editions ‘dark kitchen’.
Now it has taken on the former Miah’s Kitchen site near Leeds station for a permanent 120-cover restaurant.
Yard & Coop, founded by former Revolution Bars employees Carl and Laura Morris, opened its first restaurant in Manchester in 2015, followed by Liverpool in 2016.
The Leeds’ restaurant will launch in late-February, offering a £5 lunch deal, with takeaway and delivery options.
Its menu will include a customisable ‘build your feast’ option - where diners can choose a cut of meat, sauce and add toppings to fries - and dishes such as chicken breast with buttery mash, Yorkshire pudding and gravy.
Yard & Coop launched a £50,000 crowdfunding campaign to support the Leeds opening in November, but raised just £8,000 of its goal.
