Ray de Fazio to open Cent Anni in Wimbledon Village

Restaurateur Ray de Fazio is to launch a modern Italian restaurant in Wimbledon Village on the former site of Cau.

Expected to open late next month, Cent Anni will have 100 covers and will serve a menu that includes a mix of modern and classic Italian dishes.

Cento Anni means 'one hundred years'. It is meant to imply 'one hundred years of health' and is often said during a toast along with 'salut'.

The wine list will therefore be “stellar and great value” and focused on Italian wines, although there will be some bins from elsewhere in Europe.

À la carte pricing will be approximately £45 per person for a three-course meal with drinks, and there will also be an affordable set lunch menu offering (£15 for two courses).

Ray de Fazio has operated restaurants in London for 30 years, and currently also owns Café Med in St John’s Wood (since 2001), and Med Kitchen in Gloucester Road, Kensington (since 2002).
