Leisure investor Edition Capital is backing the company, which transforms unused spaces in to ‘social venues’ focused around food and drink.
It launched Pergola on the Roof, a 600-capacity street food market on the rooftop of a former White City car park, in 2016 and currently operates Pergola Paddington, Pergola Olympia London, The Prince, and W12 Studios.
Now the group has raised £5m through EIS, valuing the business at £20m.
It plans to use the funding to open in Fulham and Mayfair, and has “large-scale sites” lined up in Wimbledon, Brixton and Putney.
Incipio is also hoping to launch its first location outside London in Birmingham this year, if planning permission is granted.
“From the very first time we walked into an Incipio venue, we knew [the team] had an unparalleled understanding of what the modern consumer wants,” says Lisa Boden Shan, from Edition Capital.
“Reaching the million customer milestone and the growth achieved over the past four years is testament to their vision and execution. We are delighted to have made a further significant investment in the company to support the next phase in its evolution."
