Lussmanns to offer 100% MSC menu

Managing director Andrei Lussmann has been a champion of sustainable seafood since opening the first Lussmanns in 2002.
“It has always been a personal mission to have a 100% MSC fish menu by 2019,” says Lussmann, who is a founding member of the Sustainable Restaurant Association,
“I’ve been edging ever closer with each year being 90% in 2018 with the remaining being Marine Conservation Society considered, I’m delighted that we can now offer this to our customers and spread the sustainable word the Lussmanns way.”
As well as featuring sustainably sourced plaice, cod cheeks and hake, the menu will feature the first MSC monkfish and ling available in the foodservice sector.
MSC partnership manager Loren Miller congratulated Lussmanns, saying: “From the BBC’s Blue Planet, to sustainable fish and chip suppers there is a clear interest, in our small island, in protecting the seas.
“By using the ‘blue tick’ ecolabel on all of their dishes, [Lussmanns] are ensuring everybody can play a part in securing a healthy future for our oceans.”
