The long leasehold interest in the London Marriott Hotel Grosvenor Square, home to Gordon Ramsay’s upcoming Lucky Cat restaurant, is up for sale.

Property Week reports that the lease is on the market with a guide price of £180m.

The hotel last changed hands in 2014, when it was sold by Strategic Hotels & Resorts to Hong Kong-based private equity firm Joint Treasure for £125m.

Joint Treasure previously tried to sell its long leasehold on the site, which has less than 40 years remaining, in 2017.

The five-star hotel was home to Ramsay’s Maze restaurant for 14 years until it closed in February. The chef will relaunch the site as Asian-inspired concept Lucky Cat this summer.

Ramsay’s separate Maze Grill restaurant is still open at the hotel.
