Working with third-party online food distribution channels including Deliveroo, Taster promotes itself as offering “restaurant-quality meals” that are delivered directly to the consumer.
Working with consultants including Michelin-starred Korean chef Sang Hoon Degeimbre, Taster has developed three pan-Asian brands: the Vietnamese Mission Saigon, Hawaiian poke bowl kitchen O Ke Kai, and Korean fried chicken brand Out-Fry.
“Restaurants often don’t have the infrastructure for delivery – customers order and they’re disappointed with how long it takes to prepare, with the packaging, or with how fresh the meal is,” Soulier says.
“We can challenge all these points head on and deliver incredible, authentic Asian food to our customers within 20 minutes. We were overwhelmed with the initial response to Taster from our Hackney customers, and can’t wait to bring Mission Saigon, O Ke Kai and Out-Fry to a wider London audience.”
Launched in Paris in June2017, Taster now operates eight kitchens across France, Spain and now the UK. With the brand now established permanently in London, the company says it plans to expand rapidly over the next few years.
