Manchester’s Mission Mars hospitality group is to bring its Neapolitan pizza brand Rudy’s to Birmingham this summer.

The 85-cover site will open in an unconfirmed address in the city centre, and will not accept reservations.

It will the fourth overall restaurant for Rudy’s, which launched in Manchester in 2015 and has grown to two sites in the city, and one in Liverpool.

Rudy’s menu offers 12 pizzas priced from £4.90 - £8.90, alongside small Italian starters, sharing plates and desserts such as tiramisu.

Mission Mars, which is also behind Bavarian-style beer hall Albert’s Schloss, received £10m funding towards its expansion from investment partner Business Growth Fund (BGF) last year.

BGF has previously backed restaurant groups Giggling Squid, Barburrito and Filmore & Union.
