Chef Kevin Lynn took over the site three years ago and has seen the restaurant win two AA Rosettes and gain a recommendation in the Michelin guide, though it did not hold a star or Bib Gourmand.
But the restaurant, located stone-walled barn that was formerly an agricultural machine repair shop, shut for the final time last weekend.
Lynn wrote on the restaurant’s Facebook page: “I've had an amazing journey meeting so many amazing people who have become great friends and almost like family. You guys made this such an enjoyable experience for me, I will never forget this and what we have achieved here.
“A big MASSIVELY THANK YOU and goodbye for now. Hopefully we will see you again soon.”
Lynn was previously executive chef at The Belle Epoque restaurant with rooms in Knutsford.
