Opening in Westfield’s Shepherd’s Bush shopping centre, Master Bao will join the group’s Peckham flagship and the Tooting-based Daddy Bao restaurants.
Dedicated to the son of Mr Bao co-founder Frank Yeung, the restaurant will offer a standalone vegan menu, and new dishes such as vegan dan dan noodles.
“We wanted to create a new bao concept specifically for Westfield London and we’re very excited that this includes the world’s first dedicated vegan bao menu,” says Yeung.
“The environmental impact of moving the world to a vegan diet is clear and represents the future of food.”
Mr Bao was founded by Yeung and his friend Nick Birkett in 2016 on a shoestring budget.
The group expanded operations to Tooting in early 2018 with Daddy Bao, which is inspired by Yeung’s father who himself was a restaurateur for 30 years.
Daddy Bao also doubles up as the group's test kitchen for new food and cocktail concepts.
