All-day dining restaurant brand Coppa Club has confirmed it will open two new sites this summer as part of its ‘targeted expansion plans’.

The group will open a restaurant in Berkshire next month as part of The Swan at Streatley’s £12m refurbishment. Located on the Thames, Coppa Club Streatley is described as a ‘non-members club’ and will have 47 bedrooms and an on-site gym with the restaurant itself featuring a riverside terrace.

Following that, it will open a restaurant in Brighton in August. The 220-cover restaurant in Brighton Square is 3,600sq ft and will have a lounge area with an open fireplace and a bar area in addition to the main dining room.

Coppa Club currently operates five restaurants in Sonning on Thames – its first site, which opened in 2015 - and Maidenhead in Berkshire, Henley on Thames in Oxfordshire, and St Paul’s and Tower Bridge in central London. It had also operated a restaurant in Oxford Circus but closed it last year over concerns it was too small.

The company says it is bucking the ‘gloomy industry trends’ with like for like sales between January and March this year up 8.9%, “Despite the challenges and uncertainty in our sector, there remains one constant: people want to feel a sense of belonging and connection,” says Coppa Club CEO Sue Walter.
