Michelin sets the date for 2020 star announcement

The awards will be announced at an event at The Hurlingham Club in London from 4pm.
Last year’s guide included 21 new one-star restaurants, six of which were in the capital.
In London Core by Clare Smyth and Kitchen Table at Bubbledogs gained two stars, alongside Moor Hall in Lancashire – which also topped the Estrella Damm National Restaurant Awards top 100 list this year.
A total of 18 restaurants lost their stars in the 2019 edition, with Marcus Wareing at The Berkeley dropping from a two to one-star rating.
There have been no new restaurants awarded the maximum three stars since the 2018 red book, when nine-seat sushi bar The Araki in Mayfair took the top ranking. It will be interesting to see if the restaurant can retain its stars following the departure of founder and head chef Mitsuhiro Araki in March this year.
Core by Clare Smyth could also be in line for a third star. Smyth previously held the triple rating while chef patron at Restaurant Gordon Ramsay and was the first woman in the UK to do so.
