Jamie Oliver’s international restaurant arm is continuing to expand under franchise, despite the collapse of his UK business.

The first Jamie’s Italian in Bergen, Norway will open this month in a 200-cover site featuring a robata grill and private dining area.

It is operated by Dilla Holdings, which launched Jamie’s Italian in Oslo – the first site in the country outside an airport – in 2017.

A Jamie Oliver’s Pizzeria opens today (13 September) in Lisbon, Portugal. It promises to offer ‘classic Italian’ pizzas with a ‘Jamie’s twist’, and salads, sides and desserts.

The chef’s concepts have also launched at Malaga and Helsinki Airports this year in partnership with food travel operator SSP.

Oliver closed UK 22 high street sites, including the entire Jamie’s Italian chain and training restaurant Fifteen London, when his UK restaurant arm entered administration in May.

The chef has since said he hopes to resurrect Fifteen in another form, and is looking to refocus his wider business around public health campaigns.
